I am currently working on a new site http://anchoragealaskaphotographers.com it should be up and running in the next few weeks. It is a bigger project then I am use to but it should pay major dividends. The goal is to create a site to index every single photographer in Anchorage, Alaska, but that is not all. I also want to provide an interactive forum for the locals to swap local resources and build up a good photographer community online. The best part is that it should be a blast, for me and those who will use it. if you have any suggestions that would make the site better let me know. If you happen to be a photographer and want included in the directory don't worry it shouldn't be long before we start accepting submissions.

Just Getting Started

I guess this is where it all starts, my blog. First of all I would just like to thank you for taking the time to read this little piece on Joshua Gompert. So this is what you get me, my life, my family, my interest, my hobbies, just my little adventure call My Life On The Net.

Recently I got some news, I finally got a class date. Yeah, so if you know me than you know I've been waiting for a while, a long while, ok its been 11 months, but I swear when your in limbo that seem like forever. I tell you what, it is going to be great to get out of Sierra Vista. I know that this place isn't that bad, but still I've been needing to get my life moving and this is going to do just that. So there you have it just two more months till January 11th, 2009 and my little trip across the country to OCS.

If you don't allready know what that is, its Officer Canidate School, no it doesn't sound like the funnest place in the world, but that is not why I'm going is it. Its more of what every man with a family has to do it for. We do it for those that count on us, and for me that number is growing, from just my beautiful wife, Ashley, and midget of a daughter, Jocelyn, to include a third person, my yet to be born son, Noah. That is why I must go, but in the end its all going to be for the best.
